Piedmont police say man rented home on Airbnb to steal from homeowner

PIEDMONT, Calif. (KGO) -- There's a new warning for people renting out their homes on sites like Airbnb. Piedmont police say a man rented a home just so he could steal from the homeowner.

The suspect, 18-year-old Elisel Navarro of Hayward, was booked on several charges including burglary, possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest. Watch the video above for Amy Hollyfield's full report.
