Every year, new food trends emerge delighting the taste buds of foodies everywhere and 2016 is no exception. (KGO)

Every year, new food trends emerge delighting the taste buds of foodies everywhere and 2016 is no exception. Food Writer, Susannah Chen, sits down with Lizzie Bermudez to taste and see some of the hottest trends in packaged and takeout foods. Together they sample everything from dairy-free cheeses to gourmet jerkey to wine in a can.

Meat Snacks/Gourmet Jerky:
- Perky Jerky in Turkey: no nitrates or MSG; preservative- and gluten-free
