"They just walked in and took everything so easily and just left." Dramatic surveillance video shows bold and brazen thieves using hammers to smash their way into cases and walking away with jewelry worth millions of dollars.

HOUSTON -- A million dollar jewelry heist inside one of Houston's most upscale stores was caught on camera.

"Oh my gosh," residents said when watching the surveillance video.

The heist took place Tuesday inside de Boulle Diamond and Jewelry, one of Houston's most upscale shopping places.

In the video, four men dressed in all-black can be seen terrorizing the store as customers and employees looked on. Using hammers to smash the display glass, the suspect's stuffed the top dollar diamonds inside their bags.

One of the suspects went back for more, getting away with millions of dollars worth of jewelry.

How long did the heist take? 40 seconds. "It looks like they've done it before," one woman said.

Law enforcement experts tell Eyewitness News that the thieves may be part of a theft gang, pulling off high dollar heists across the country.

"They just walked in and took everything so easily and just left," one woman said.
