Several cities in the East Bay are dealing with temperatures in the 90s, that's about 10 degrees above average and those temps are expected to get into the high 90s Sunday.

CONCORD, Calif. (KGO) -- Several cities in the East Bay are dealing with temperatures in the 90s, that's about 10 degrees above average and those temps are expected to get into the high 90s Sunday.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District issued Spare the Air smog alerts through the weekend.

Hot temperatures, light winds are causing unhealthy air quality. People are encouraged to carpool, walk and use public transit to cut down on smog in the air. Watch the video above for Lonni Rivera's full report.
