CLEVELAND, TX --Cleveland Police Chief Darrel Broussard told Eyewtiness News investigators are meeting with the family featured in a viral video that shows a little girl dragged by her hair around Wal-Mart.
"Police are concerned at this time for the children who may be in the home with the dad who appeared to have been a little aggressive at the time," Broussard said.
According to child protective services, oftentimes children remain in their homes during investigations of this nature.
"People are telling me I'm wrong for stepping up for this little girl, but you can discipline a child without dragging them by the hair on their head, especially in Wal-Mart," Erika Burch said.
Burch wants the little girl she saw in the photos to learn what proper discipline looks like.
"I want help for that little girl so that she knows nobody is supposed to do that to her," Burch said.
