3 fires break out in three separate San Francisco neighborhoods

SAN FRANCISCO -- Fire officials reported three structure fires in three separate San Francisco neighborhoods Saturday afternoon.

A two-alarm fire in a building in San Francisco's Inner Mission neighborhood was reported at 4:47 p.m. at 3060 26th St.

The fire burned the top floor and attic of a two-story residential and commercial building before firefighters had it contained at 5:42 p.m.

Firefighters kept the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings, fire spokesman Lt. Jonathan Baxter said.

Nine people were displaced. A market that operates on the first floor of the building was also displaced, Baxter said.

The nine people are getting help with temporary housing from the American Red Cross. San Francisco housing officials will assist the residents with further housing needs on Monday.

No one was injured. The cause is under investigation, Baxter said.

A one-alarm fire this afternoon burned a two-story building in the Outer Parkside neighborhood.

The fire was reported at 4:38 p.m. at 3621 Taraval St., about two blocks from the Great Highway. No one was injured and no one was displaced, Baxter said.

The third fire this afternoon was a cooking fire in the Bayview District. No one was injured in that fire.
