Police chase from Vallejo ends in crash in Hayward

VALLEJO, Calif. (KGO) -- Officers are looking for a driver who they say led them on a chase through several cities in the East Bay.

The chase ended in Hayward, near Mission Boulevard and Hancock Street. The driver crashed into a fence on BART property at one point.

It started when police spotted the stolen truck in Vallejo around 1 a.m. They tried to pull the driver over, but he led them on a chase along I-80, I-880 and on to surface streets. The CHP finally called it off, and the man got away.
