Classes resume after creepy clown threat reported in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KGO) -- Fairfield police are dismissing another one of those creepy clown threats making the rounds nationwide on social media.

Classes went on without a problem Tuesday at Fairfield High School and Grange Middle School a day after someone claiming to be a member of a clown gang threatened violence on Twitter.

The district sent out an alert to parents Monday night.

Similar threats nationwide have forced schools to cancel classes, including two Tuesday outside Seattle.

Creepy clown threats or sightings have been reported in at least 22 states, but there has yet to be a single act of violence associated with them.
