Heinz recalls gravy for mislabeling
Make sure to check your pantry: Heinz is recalling jars of gravy for mislabeling.

Before you pop open any jars of gravy, you might want to check the label.

Heinz said it is recalling about 500 cases of its HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy because it may have been mislabeled as pork gravy.

The mislabeling omits the fact the jars contain milk and soy ingredients, which could sicken people with an allergy or sensitivity.

So far, no one has complained of illness, but as a precaution, the company is recalling 12-ounce jars labeled as Heinz HomeStyle Gravy Pork with a "Best by" date of December 28, 2017.

You should also check the manufacturing code, which appears as MU6F04 4Q with a time stamp following the code.

The jar's UPC reads 013000798907.
