Storm dumps rain throughout Bay Area, prompts flash flood warning in Santa Cruz

A strong and windy storm dumped rain up and down the Bay Area, prompting a flash flood advisory in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

GUERNEVILLE, Calif. (KGO) -- A strong storm prompted a flash flood advisory along the Santa Cruz Mountains Tuesday, while in the North Bay Sonoma County was expected to receive an inch of rain.

Rain has been falling in Sonoma County since Monday, but has yet to cause any major problems for the area.

Back-to-back storms are predicted for the rest of the week.
