Bicyclist killed in crash near North Berkeley BART station

BERKELEY, Calif. -- A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in north Berkeley Wednesday morning, according to police.

The collision was reported at 7:07 a.m. on Sacramento Street near Ada Street, a few blocks from the North Berkeley BART station.

The bicyclist was killed in the crash. The driver stopped and is cooperating in the investigation.

The bicyclist's name as well as information about the cause of the crash was not immediately released.
