'Dream Big: Girls Day' in San Jose provides STEM learning opportunities

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- An event devoted to providing girls with opportunities and inspiration with STEM learning took place on Monday in San Jose at the Tech Museum of Innovation.

"Dream Big: Girls Day" offered special hands-on activities designed to empower girls and their siblings and parents.

Girls got to explore coding while designing an animated picture book, harness the power of wind, and learned the basics of soldering.
