San Jose flood nearly washes out family's plans for East Coast college trip

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Residents from the flooded San Jose neighborhood are assessing the damage to their homes and cars.

It's as if the entire area was plastered with mud.

The flooding threatened to wash out plans for one family's college visit to the East Coast just 24 hours after the evacuation, and with just hours to spare to save the trip we jumped into action.
