Controlled burn sends plumes of smoke into sky in Marin County

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Smoke poured into the sky in western Marin County on Wednesday due to a fire burning near Bon Tempe Lake, west of Kentfield and San Anselmo.

Marin County Fire says the water district has several controlled burns going and is trying to clear what's called coyote brush.

They're monitoring the situation and says it's under control.
