Landslide forces evacuations in Oakland Hills
OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Just as the rain makes a return, a landslide has forced nearly half a dozen homes in the Oakland Hills to evacuate.

Two homes were hit by mud, but firefighters evacuated a total of five in the neighborhood just to be safe.
Four of the homes are on Banning Drive, the fifth is on Aitken Drive.
Officials say part of the hillside, along with a tree, broke loose and hit two homes. Firefighters evacuated everyone around the area.
"Right now, everybody's safe, no injuries," said Oakland Fire Department Battallion Chief Dino Torres. "We don't expect this to worsen, as of right now, but it all depends upon the rain and the wind."
Civil engineers are checking to see how much damage was done. They don't know when it will be safe for those families to go back inside.
The Red Cross is helping out evacuees.
