Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg spoke with ABC7 Mornings' Jessica Castro about her new book, "Option B," in which she discusses grief, death, and recovery following her husband's death. Watch the full interview in the player above.

Sandberg says "Option B" is a guidebook not just for the person dealing with tragedy, but also for everyone rallying around that person. "Resilience is not something we have a fixed amount of, it's a muscle," she told ABC7 News. "And we can build it by helping each other find joy."

She says the best way to help -- don't ask, just do any act of kindness, no matter how small.

Meanwhile, Sandberg hopes the book will inspire "Option B" support groups on Facebook and through OptionB.org.

"And if I do that, I think it honors the life he led," Sandberg added.

She says her loss has made her more grateful. "I will never make another joke about growing old again because it is a gift."
