A man trusted to coach kids has been accused for a second time of molesting his students.

Richmond police say Normandie Burgos thought he was meeting someone for a tennis lesson yesterday at the Plunge Garden Tennis Courts, but instead he was met by detectives who arrested him, accusing him of sexually assaulting two teenaged boys for two years.

"When our detective arrested him at these tennis courts yesterday he was almost resigned to the fact that he was caught," Richmond Police Lieutenant Felix Tan said.

Burgos was accused in 2006 by three of his tennis players in Marin County. He was tried for child molestation and sexual battery. That case ended in a hung jury, and prosecutors are considering whether or not to retry him.

"I am terribly shocked and saddened. I taught tennis here for years," Maryn Hurlbut, Vice President of the Richmond Tennis Association, said.

Hurlbut says she has never seen Burgos. She wants parents to know he was not authorized to teach there on the courts where he was arrested.

"I am very surprised to hear this news and very disappointed because we are trying to make this a safe and cost effective place for children to play," Hurlbut said.
