Green was arrested and later accepted a plea deal in the criminal case that reduced the charges to a noise infraction. But, both Edmondson and Williams claim they were haunted by the run-in.

Edmondson described the ordeal at a news conference Tuesday morning.

"I told him last night didn't have to happen. That it wasn't cool that Bianca got choked. His response was to punch me in the face. Without any warning or any reason," Edmondson said. "I think about what happened with Draymond every day. I still feel his hand on my jaw. There are nights where I wake up crying."

Marc J. Spears, senior NBA writer for ESPN's "The Undefeated", said the suit sounds like it's all about money.

"This guy played football at Michigan State, one of the top football programs in the country. You get hit hard all the time," Spears told ABC7 News. "So to say he still feels the slap, that sounds like a money grab to me," Spears said.

The lawsuit does not seek specific damages. The plaintiffs' attorney, Lisa Bloom, says her clients are seeking a jury trial and want Green to take responsibility for his actions.

"Mr. Green has refused to accept responsibility for his conduct, and so we will ask a jury to educate him and hold him accountable," Bloom said.

Our sister network ESPN reports green is "confident" this will be resolved soon.

The Warriors released a statement responding to the lawsuit saying, "This threatened lawsuit relates to an incident that occurred in East Lansing, Michigan over a year ago, for which Draymond paid a noise violation fine. The Warriors will have no further comment at this time."
