Missing 16-year-old girl in Marin County found safe

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. -- A girl who went missing Wednesday on Mount Tamalpais has been found safe by search and rescue crews this morning, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.

Sarah Jane Tang, 16, had last been seen Wednesday afternoon while hiking with a friend, but the two got separated after dark and Tang's friend went to call for help.

Sheriff's officials wrote on Twitter at 7:20 a.m. that Tang was found and was said to be "safe & in good spirits!"

No other details about exactly where and when she was found were immediately available.
