Power outage temporarily forces Milpitas police to reroute emergency calls

MILPITAS, Calif. -- Milpitas police said power was restored Sunday evening to their Police Department and emergency and non-emergency calls are being handled again by Milpitas dispatchers.

Power had been restored as of 7:50 p.m.

The power went out just after 5 p.m. and emergency calls were being routed through the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office Communications Center.
