A magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit Northern California Friday afternoon, according to the USGS.

The quake struck about ten miles N of Ukiah at 4:10 p.m.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, but the quake struck in an area where firefighters are battling the Redwood Complex Fire.
