3-year-old boy drowns in pool at Vallejo home

VALLEJO, Calif. (KGO) -- A three-year-old boy is dead after drowning in a backyard swimming pool in Vallejo.

It happened around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon on California Street. Police say the boy was playing in the yard of a home when he fell into the pool. A family member pulled him out, started CPR and called 911.

No charges have been filed; police believe it was an accident.
