Suspicious device in San Francisco deemed safe

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Police said a suspicious device that was reported near 17th and Shrader streets in San Francisco Friday turned out to be a false alarm.

Officials had originally asked the public to avoid the area, but the scene is now clear and it is safe to return.
