3.5-magnitude earthquake strikes near Gilroy

GILROY, Calif. -- A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck this morning near Gilroy, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 9:10 a.m. about 6 miles east-southeast of Gilroy and had a depth of 3.4 miles, USGS officials said.
