Veterans, active duty service members to participate in Valor Games in Alameda

ALAMEDA, Calif. (KGO) -- More than 100 veterans and active duty service members are competing for top honors at this year's Valor Games.

The games allow wounded warriors to participate in various sporting competitions like archery, cycling and power lifting.

This year's Far West Valor Games are happening this weekend at Coast Guard Island in Alameda.

It's the sixth year the games have taken place.
