Over 50,000 gallons of oil flooded into the streets of Los Angeles, with the oil knee-deep in some areas, after a pipe ruptured, officials say.
Crude oil spilled along San Fernando Road in the city's Atwater Village neighborhood, affecting nearby businesses, including a gentleman's club, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The line broke before 1 a.m. local time. Emergency crews used sand to try and contain the oil.
At this point, no injuries have been reported.
