Some state lawmakers want to force employers to give workers fair warning about their hours.

The Reliable Scheduling Act would require employers to give hourly workers one week advance notice of their upcoming work schedule.

The bill is designed to help workers in fields like retail and restaurants to better plan childcare, attend college or hold a second job.
