CAMPBELL, Calif. (KGO) -- Campbell police are searching for a man accused of attempting to kidnap a girl near Maysun Court and Harriet Avenue Saturday morning.

Police say the the girl was walking her dog in the neighborhood when the suspect pulled up in a car asking for directions.

Police say, the suspect allegedly grabbed the girl during their conversation. Then, she fought back and started to scream, which caused the suspect to drive away in his car.

The suspect is described as an Asian or Hispanic male in his mid 30s, approximately 5'7" tall with a medium build.

Police say the suspect was wearing a black and white beanie and a tan or brown long coat with fur on the cuffs which was buttoned up.

The vehicle is described as an older model 4-door sedan that is possibly silver in color.
