PETALUMA, Calif. (KGO) -- A Bay Area dairy farm is recalling one of its products because there might be pieces of plastic in it.

Clover Stornetta Farms is voluntarily recalling its 2 percent milk from grocery stores throughout Northern California in quart, gallon and plastic half gallon sizes.

The gallons, quarts and half-gallons have an expiration date of July 29.

The Petaluma-based company issued the recall Friday night. "Clover Stornetta Farms' top priority is the safety of our customers. For this reason we are issuing this voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution," the company said in a statement.

Clover also says if you've already purchased the milk, you should return it to your grocery store for a full refund.
