NAPA, Calif. (KGO) -- Teams of workers from the Contractor's State Licensing Board and the State Department of Insurance are fanning out across Napa. They are talking with homeowners about unlicensed insurance adjusters.
The outreach teams are going door-to-door handing out informational leaflets to residents whose homes suffered damage. The leaflets warn them about the fraudsters who are lurking around Earthquake-damaged areas.
The CSLB regulates the state's construction industry. They're urging residents to only hire state licensed contractors for repair work.
