SAN MATEO, Calif. (KGO) -- The San Mateo County District Attorney is still trying to decide if charges will be filed against the owners of two dogs involved in a rampage yesterday.

Witnesses say the pit bulls were running through the streets near San Mateo High School.

One person was bitten and they attacked a gardener who used a leaf blower to fend them off.

The dogs then tried to get to officers inside their patrol cars.

One officer hit both animals with his car when they started running toward a school. One dog died, the other is now with animal control.
