Disabled train halts Bart service at Balboa Park

BALBOA PARK -- No BART trains have been able to move past the Balboa Park station toward downtown San Francisco and the East Bay because of a disabled train in the way, a BART operations center employee said.

The train broke down on the tracks near the Balboa Park BART station just before 9:40 a.m., the employee said.

As of about 9:55 a.m., BART crews were moving the train out of the way and service was expected to resume shortly.
