Elderly pedestrians injured in collision

SAN RAMON, Calif. (KGO) -- An elderly man and woman were rushed to the hospital after they were hit by a car while crossing a street in San Ramon.

It happened around 9:15 a.m. at the corner of Albion Road and Silva Way.

Police say the man appeared to have a skull fracture and the woman suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to the hospital.

The female driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation.

Police say she was driving toward the sun, which may have played a role in the accident.
