Families seek answers at assistance center in Oakland
Many families are still wondering where their loved ones are after the deadly fire in Oakland that destroyed a warehouse known as the Ghost Ship.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Officials are hard at work attempting to clear the wreckage of a fire that ripped through a warehouse in Oakland known as the Ghost Ship. It is still unclear how many victims there are in total.

As the investigation continues, families continue to grow anxious, fearing the worst. Many have gathered at the Family Assistance Center off Miller Avenue and 12th Street in Oakland. The Red Cross and other services are there to help families in search of their loved ones.

People are hoping to get information, but there aren't many answers coming out of the assistance center. Members of the Red Cross, Salvation Army as well as investigators from several agencies inside attempting to console the families of those missing.

Family members and those who are there to assist them have said they will be at the center through the night.
