Firefighters contain early morning house fire in Soquel

SOQUEL, Calif. -- Firefighters have contained a house fire in the unincorporated town Soquel in Santa Cruz County Saturday morning.

At 2:06 a.m. the fire was first reported at 5441 Soquel Drive, according to CHP officials.

The fire may have started in the home's attic, CHP officials said.

CHP officials closed parts of Soquel and Fairway drives, as firefighters battled the blaze.

By about 4:40 a.m., firefighters had contained the fire and the roadway was reopened, according to CHP officials.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured as a result of the fire.
