REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- A two-alarm fire at a Redwood City bar Monday morning has been put out, firefighters said.

The blaze started around 4:30 a.m. at a structure attached to the rear of Sodini's, which is in a one-story strip mall at 727 El Camino Real.

The fire got into the interior of the business, but remained mostly contained to the back of the building, firefighters said.

Several businesses are immediately adjacent to Sodini's, but the fire remained within the building of origin. The cause is still under investigation.

El Camino Real was shut down in both directions between Broadway and Brewster Avenue at around 5 a.m.
