SAN JOSE (KGO) -- For the second time this week, a Bay Area flight has made an unscheduled landing because of an unruly passenger.
The American Airlines flight took off from San Jose Tuesday bound for Dallas. A 26-year-old man was escorted off the plane when it made an emergency landing in Phoenix. Police say the man, who hasn't been identified, was drunk, disruptive and had to be restrained.
"He went into the bathroom and would not come out of the bathroom and then some men went back there to go to the bathroom and then the next thing I know they're holding him down," said Erma Martinez, passenger.

The man was sent to a local hotel in Phoenix, because American Airlines did not want to prosecute. The flight took off again about an hour later. Some of the 96 passengers on board said they missed their connections in Dallas.
Police say the man is planning on taking another flight from Phoenix today.
