A 10-year-old girl turned her Facebook timeline into a lifeline for her father after a tree fell on him during a storm in West Virginia.

Gregory Vance and two of his friends were sitting on the front porch when a massive tree came crashing down.

The storm also wiped out cellphone service. After discovering that their Wi-Fi was still working, Gregory's daughter Brianna turned to Facebook.

"The lightning crashed and hit a tree by our porch and my dad's almost dead," said Brianna in an emotional video message posted on the social network. "He needs an ambulance please. Please call one for us if you have signal. We live in a yellow house."

Someone called 911 after watching her plea for help. Rescuers rushed there and saved the three men.

"I was scared," said Brianna after the rescue. "I needed help. My dad needed help. So I had to post that."

Brianna's dad came home from the hospital just in time for Father's Day.

He's recovering after breaking a few bones.
