Gov. Brown to meet with environmental, agricultural leaders

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KGO) -- Governor Jerry Brown will meet with water, environmental and agricultural leaders in Sacramento on Wednesday to talk about ways to conserve water as California faces extreme drought conditions.

The governor is trying to rally everyone to pull together and reduce usage by 25 percent.

Brown says it's a new era. The historic drought is forcing officials to take action and come up with new ways to save water.

"We will learn to get more out of less and that really is the genius of California/ And I'm very confident that with some struggle, we are going to get there," Brown said.

On Tuesday night, in an effort to conserve even more water, the Marin Municipal Water Board voted unanimously to restrict outdoor watering three days a week.
