Grass fire put out near Cal State East Bay

HAYWARD, Calif. (KGO) -- Fire crews in Hayward put out a grass fire that broke out in the hills near Cal State East Bay last night.

Firefighters still don't know what sparked the flames which broke out just before midnight. Officials say the flames were slow moving, and crews were able to extinguish it in about 15 minutes. The fire charred about two acres. No injuries were reported.
