Hayward police investigate fatal shooting

HAYWARD, Calif. (KGO) -- Hayward police are investigating after one man was killed and another injured in a shooting at B and 7th streets.

B Street has just reopened. It had been closed overnight as police worked the case and gathered evidence.

Police had been told that shots had been fired around 11:23 p.m. and when they arrived, they found one man had been killed and another was hurt. The second man was taken to the hospital.

Hayward PD is investigating how that man ties in with the murder. They're still trying to piece all of that together.

Police haven't released any information about possible suspects or motives, saying it's just too early.

Now that they've gathered their evidence at the scene and will go back to the police station to do their interviews and put it back together.
