KNOW AND TELL: Georgia store clerk violently fights off armed robbery suspect

AUGUSTA, Ga. (KGO) -- Surveillance video reveals an employee fighting off a man with a gun inside a store in Georgia.

The woman did not go down without a fight. Store surveillance video shows a man walking up to the register to pay for a drink. Then, he pulls out a gun and points it right at her. Officials said he demanded cash and went straight for the money drawer.

But, she's not having it. The woman hits him in the head with the plastic drawer and then grabbed a hammer and chased him away.

Officials said no one was injured and police eventually took a suspect into custody.
