Loma Fire in Santa Cruz Mountains now over 80 percent contained
MORGAN HILL, Calif. (KGO) -- Cal Fire crews are continuing to make progress gaining the upper hand on the Loma Fire burning in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The fire that burned nearly 4,500 acres is now over 81 percent contained.
People who live along Summit Road are being allowed back into their homes now that the evacuation order for the stretch along Highway 152 has been lifted. Residents, however, are required to show ID to prove they live there.

The cause is still under investigation.

Evacuations:
Evacuations have been lifted for Santa Cruz County residents.
Road closures:
Loma Prieta Road 1 mile east of Highland Way
Summit Road at Ormsby Cutoff
Croy Road 3 miles west of Uvas Road to be lifted for residents only
