Major injury collision blocks portion of Paseo Padre Parkway in Fremont

A major injury collision is blocking Paseo Padre Parkway in both directions between Grimmer Boulevard and Mission View Drive in Fremont Monday evening, police said.

A car collided into a 15-year-old boy on Paseo Padre Parkway near Lake Elizabeth around 4:50 p.m., according to police.

The boy suffered major injuries and was transported to a trauma center for treatment, police said.

The roadway is estimated to reopen between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., according to police.
