Man arrested for sexual assault at mall in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A man faces charges for attacking a woman at a popular South Bay shopping mall.

It happened just on Saturday just before 1 p.m. at The Plant Shopping Center on Curtner Road in San Jose.

A woman started screaming, which got the attention of nearby shoppers who alerted police.

Officers say they saw the sexual assault in progress.

They arrested a transient -- 59-year-old Michael Garcia of San Jose.
