CASTRO VALLEY, Calif -- A 46-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed his wife in their Castro Valley home on Friday surrendered to authorities on Monday night, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's officials identified Feng Mi as a person of interest Saturday in connection to the murder of his wife, 45-year-old Yunyi Zhang.

Deputies found Zhang dead at a home in 19000 block of Stanton Avenue around 4 p.m. on Friday, according to the sheriff's office.

A silver 2013 Toyota Rav4 that deputies believed Feng was driving was also recovered Monday, sheriff's officials said.

The couple has a 14-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies have previously been to the home multiple times on reports of domestic violence involving Mi, sheriff's officials said.

Mi had two guns registered under his name. One was found in the home and the other outstanding, sheriff's officials said.
