FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KGO) -- A suspect in a Concord shooting, who shot and injured an 8-year-old boy, is in critical condition after an officer-involved shooting in Fairfield.
Police say just before 1 p.m. on Monday, someone spotted a car driving in the area and recognized the man inside as Jerrard and followed him to a Lowe's parking lot in Fairfield.
Police say three officers chased Jerrard on foot but won't say how many shots were fired or whether the suspect was armed, nor what prompted the shooting.
Fairfield police say the suspect was transported to a trauma center after being shot.
