Mountain Lion sighting reported near San Mateo park

SAN MATEO, Calif. (KGO) -- Posters warn residents about a mountain lion sighting near Laurelwood Park Thursday night. They say people should be on the lookout for the animal.

VIDEO: Mountain lion wakes Hillsborough homeowners, drags deer of porch

Homeowners in Hillsborough were woken up by noise outside their window. Later, security video showed that it was a mountain lion dragging its prey off their porch.

Officials say to never approach a wild animal.

The predator was last seen in the early afternoon.
