Napa County hit-and-run case now possible homicide investigation

NAPA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- A hit-and-run case in Napa County is now a possible homicide investigation.

The hit-and-run happened just before 5 a.m. Sunday on northbound state Highway 29, north of Calistoga near the old Lawley Toll Road.

The victim, a woman, passed away at the hospital.

The investigation shut down the highway in both directions for most of the day between Tubbs Lane and Bradford Road.

Officials said Highway 29 reopened shortly after 5 p.m.
