Oakland police investigating 54th homicide of the year

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland police are investigating a fatal shooting this morning.
The homicide was reported around 1:18 a.m. in the 1100 block of Clay Street, police said.
The victim was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, according to police.
No suspects have been arrested in this case.
This incident marks Oakland's 54th homicide of the year.
